Install EmpowerRCH 4.2：

• 1. Click to download EmpowerRCH_setup.exe (For Windows user)
• 2. Click EmpowerRCH_setup.exe, select drive to install.

  2a. If done, you will see a EmpowerRCH directory， which includes 4 sub-directories: Analysis, dataMerge, dataProject and UniServerZ and a EmpowerRCH.exe file.

Use EmpowerStats 4.2:

• click EmpowerRCH.exe file to start up

  version 4.2 includes a internal browser, automatic start up local server， and visit EmpowerStats main page.

  To create new project: Create a new folder under Analysis (folder name is project name), put the data file in the folder (data file outside Analysis could not be used).

Install EmpowerROS 4.2：

• 1. Click to download EmpowerROS.zip (Mac User)
• 2. Unzip EmpowerROS.zip to Desktop 。

  After unzip，you will see EmpowerROS foldwer, which has Analysis, dataMerge, dataProject, zsystem 4 sub-folders and one EmpowerROS.command file, click this file to start EmpowerROS.
  2024-06-07 If EmpowerROS.command get errors, edify it as below：
  php -S 127.0.0.1:8623 -t ~/Desktop/EmpowerROS
  http://localhost:8623/zsystem/www
  

Use EmpowerROS 4.2:

• Install PHP if necessary

  If your MAC version is macOS Monterey (version 12.0.1 or above), PHP has been removed in macOS. You need to install PHP via brew https://github.com/shivammathur/homebrew-php

• Install R-4.2.0 Click R-4.2.0.pkg download and install R-4.2.0, then install R packages:
  Open R 4.2.0, enter R code:
  source("/analysis/R420/installPackages4MAC.R")
  (When prompt, enter 1 (ALL), Y (yes). At the end, if see: [1] "Missing packages: character(0) means install completely")
• Click EmpowerROS.command to start EmpowerROS

  , If it shows this APP was from unknown source, follow the help to set "Privacy & Security", click "Run Anyway".

  , If you could not start EmpowerROS by click EmpowerROS.command , open "Terminal", run the command:

  php -S 127.0.0.1:8623 -t ~/Desktop/EmpowerROS
  Then, click Safri open the address: http://localhost:8623/zsystem/www

  To create new project: Create a new folder under Analysis (folder name is project name), put the data file in the folder.

Install EmpowerXYS for Windows

• 1. Click here to download install file: EmpowerXYS_setup.exe ;
  download update file: EmpowerXYS_update.exe
  Date of creation: 2024-07-23 08:43:28
• 2. Click to install to C:\EmpowerXYS or D:\EmpowerXYS or E:\EmpowerXYS hard disk, with EmpowerXYS as first level folder not as a sub-folder.
• Under EmpowerXYS, except A123 folder all other folders, files are local server system file. User should not edit/write.
• EmpowerXYS/xampp_control.exe is local server control interface.
• EmpowerXYS/A123/zsystem is EmpowerXYS system folder, user should not edit/write
• EmpowerXYS/A123/Analysis is EmpowerStats working directory. User could create new project folder, put data file here for analysis.
• If user use Empower Tools (statistical/graphic tools), EmpowerXYS will create EmpowerXYS/A123/webTools folder to save output results.
• EmpowerXYS/A123/dataProject is Empower Data Project working directory. User should follow the data project user guideline to create sub-folder to organze data files.
• If user use Empower DataWeb and download data, EmpowerXYS will create EmpowerXYS/A123/download folder to save downloaded data files.

Use EmpowerXYS for Windows

• 1. Click EmpowerXYS/xampp_control.exe to start local server, Apache and MySQL should automaticall start up.
• 1a. If Apache and/or MySQL not started successfully, click Actions [Start] button to re-start. If started， [Start] button will change to [Stop]
• 2. Open a web browser, enter address: http://localhost to start EmpowerXYS.
• 2a. Initial use of EmpowerXYS, the PC machine needs to be activated. Enter user's EmpowerStats account email address and password.
• 2b. For new user who did not have an EmpowerStats account, enter a register email address and create a password (double enter to confirm), EmpowerXYS will create a new account and activate PC machine simutaneously.
• 2c. Click [Next] see a barcode, scan the barcode to obtain an activation key (15 letters/numbers), enter this key to [Activate]
• 2d. After activation, authorized user can use all [EmpowerStats], [Empower Tools], [Empower DataProject], [Empower DataWeb] modules
• 2e. Non-authorized (or expired) user can only use basic modules in [EmpowerStats] and [Empower Tools]. If user updated/purchased EmpowerStats account, click [Re-Activate] to add authorization to the PC.
• 3. To close EmpowerXYS, click xampp_control (user interface) Stop button to stop Apache and MySQL, and then Quit button to close local server.

Install EmpowerXYS for Mac OS

• 1. Click here to download EmpowerXYS-mac.zip
  Date of creation: 2024-07-23 08:43:28
• Unzip to Decsktop, see EmpowerXYS-mac folder in Desktop, under EmpowerXYS-mac there is htdocs sub-folder and 4 files: xampp-osx-8.2.4-0-installer.dmg, php.ini, ioncube_loader_mac_8.2.so, EmpowerXYS.bat
• 2. Double click Desktop/EmpowerXYS-mac/xampp-osx-8.2.4-0-installer.dmg to install XAMPP， after success, will see /Applications/XAMPP folder

• 3. Click Terminal, in Terminal, execute following command (line by line):

  cd Desktop/EmpowerXYS-mac
  chmod 777 EmpowerXYS.bat
  ./EmpowerXYS.bat
  

  While executing EmpowerXYS.bat, you need to enter Mac user's password. If EmpowerXYS.bat interupt with error, correct the error and re-execute it again.

  Common Unix command in Terminal:
  cd change directory
  pwd present working direcoty
  ls -ltr list all files and sub-directories in details， The first column: drwxrwxrwx： d = directory， otherwise file； the fist "rwx" is admin's authority， the 2nd "rwx" is group user's authority； the 3rd "rwx" for all others' authority. r = read， w = write, x = execute.
  chmod -R 777 * change the authority for all files and sub-folders (recursively) of current direcotry to rwxrwxrwx.

  Installation complete. /Application/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs folder is EmpowerXYS system folder same as A123 folder in EmpowerXYS for Windows, see details in “Install EmpowerXYS for Windows”.

• 4. Install R-4.2.0, EmpowerXYS 6.0 for Mac need R-4.2.0 installed in Mac system
  Click R-4.2.0.pkg download and install R-4.2.0, then install R packages:
  Open R 4.2.0, enter R code:
  source("/analysis/R420/installPackages4MAC.R")
  (When prompt, enter 1 (ALL), Y (yes). At the end, if see: [1] "Missing packages: character(0) means install completely")
• 5. Update EmpowerXYS 6.0 for Mac OS
  Same as above, download EmpowerXYS-mac.zip , unzip to Desktop.
  

  Enter to Terminal, in Terminal, execute following command (line by line):

  cd Desktop/EmpowerXYS-mac
  chmod 777 EmpowerXYS-update.bat
  ./EmpowerXYS-update.bat
  

  While executing EmpowerXYS-update.bat, you need to enter Mac user's password. Also you can execute command listed in EmpowerXYS-update.bat line by line.

Use EmpowerXYS for Mac OS

• 1. Click /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/manager-osx.app to start local server, click [Manage Servers] and then click [Start All] wait for Apache Web Server and MySQL Database become Running
• 2. Open web browser (Safri) enter address: http://localhost to start EmpowerXYS.
• 2a. Initial use of EmpowerXYS, the PC machine needs to be activated. Enter user's EmpowerStats account email address and password.
